A Spot of Tea

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all doing well.

I wanted to share more cards with you since that is what I’ve been doing lately. Since the third book of my Traveled Heart Series -Unending Trails – has launched I’m taking a slight breather from writing.

If you have any questions on the supplies and techniques I use to make my cards feel free to ask in the comments.

Have a creative day,

Peace and Love,

Veronica

Hopeful Gardener~Strawberries

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well.

Spring has come to the Pacific Northwest and I’m out in the gardens. Lots of things poking up and new buds are on everything! My daughter thinned her strawberry patches- her strawberries are a bite of heaven! She gave me some plants and I’m hoping they will be as tasty as hers.

They don’t look like much now, but let’s see how they do. I’ll keep you posted. Will I have a harvest by the end of June?

They join my other container berries – raspberries and blueberries. I’ve used good compost and netting to keep the cats and birds out. Fingers crossed 🙂

Happy Gardening!

Peace and Love,

Veronica

Card Crafter

Hello Everyone,

A little over a year ago I discovered the art of making cards. It’s added so much to my artistic life and I love it! I’m totally hooked!

There was a bit of a learning curve and some investment in the way of tools and such, but little by little I have accumulated most everything I need, but there are so many beautiful stamps and dies and paper out there it’s hard to resist. The designers are really talented.

I send my cards to organizations who then distribute them to nursing homes, shelters, and hospitals.

I look forward to sharing my cards with you and some of the process. To be honest, some of my favorite cards were the result of a mistake I made or a smudge or whatever that messed up my original design.

Here are a few of several cards I will send to Altenew (a card supply company) for their parent’s day card drive. They will send cards to seniors in nursing homes, shelters and where ever a little cheer is needed for mothers and fathers.

If you have any questions about how I put any of my cards together, feel free to ask me in the comments.

Peace and Love,

Veronica

A Passion for Art-post updated 4/12/21

Good Monday Morning You!

When writing about my character Jessica Messing in Traveled Hearts @Amazon.com   I soon realized I loved painting as much as she does and in the last few years I’ve gotten back into it and have been painting a lot more.

Learning new techniques and practicing almost daily has been rewarding and frustrating. One of the things I’ve learned to do … or I should say not do, is compare my art with other artists. Everyone has their own style. As much as I’d love to be loose with my watercolors, or precise and botanical I end up doing my own style. Like writing, art is very subjective. Find your own style and progress from there.

New Directions

Hello Everyone,

This weekend I downgraded my website since I didn’t need all the bells and whistles to bring to you my content.

Unfortunately, they removed my entire website! Not being the best at WordPress and their lingo I thought they would simply restore what I had and take off any extras like plug-ins and such, but they restored my older website.

Today, I meet with my daughter and website designer to take my older website and bring it up to date.

Good news is, I will not only be blogging about my books, Traveled Hearts, Sacred Terrain and my recent release- Unending Trails, ( available on Amazon.com) but also about my art and card making and gardening, maybe a recipe now and then.

So stay tuned!

Have a wonderful day and week!

Peace and Love,

Veronica
