I will continue to write and publish this series on Jessica Messing and Jacob Stanford. Their love story is a complicated one yet through courage and growth, adversity and success they may find happiness- the journey to that possible happiness is the meat of the story – so start here with the The Traveled Heart and enjoy the ride.

Roses

Flowers, especially roses are one of my favorite subjects to paint. The many layers of roses make them so interesting.

My leading lady, Jessica in The Traveled Heart begins to paint a rose in one of her art classes. It ends in disaster. Her integrity is challenged as well as her creative ability. She decides to take matters into her own hands which leads her to a life altering event …

Original Intention

Whenever I get caught up in all the noise out there I try to remember my original intention for writing my novels. First and foremost the love of writing and creating characters and their lives. Second is to entertain.

I always picture someone with my book on a beach/ vacation, or on a plane or train, or nestled in their favorite spot on a chilly day with a cup of something hot and a plate full of yummies. (scones for me).

The original idea is always the most purest and gives such pleasure. Starting a new project is exhilarating. Working hard to see it to fruition is a must. Not burning out on it can be a challenge.

Getting caught up in making sure we don’t stumble or embarrass ourselves can really slow the process. All the noise of others you probably will never meet in this business can cause doubt and worry. I’ve trimmed down my sources considerably and stick to constructive and positive input. There is plenty of that out there too.

Here’s to my original intention filled with joy, hope and the love of writing.

Love and Peace,

Veronica
